Fifth Edition of the 2B Continued Festival and Theatre Laboratory

Studio Emad Eddin began 2B Continued Festival and Theatre Laboratory in 2008 to support the work of local theatre directors and contemporary dance choreographers under the age of thirty-five. The festival, as its Artistic Director Nevine El Ibiary explains in this video, facilitates the development of a specialized workshop in scenography, lighting, costume design, directing, sound engineering, and stage management, which the studio offers all year round. This year, 2B Continued produced four new shows: a dance piece by Mounir Said titled A Room Filled with Smoke; Mirror by theatre director Yasmine Emam; Triangles are My Favorite Shape by Seif Abdel Salaam; and Mohamed El Deeb’s performance piece What’s left…
